The two Hotel Collection boutiques put up for sale

The two boutique properties that make up The House Collection have now been put up for sale, five months after the company fell into administration.

Paddocks House Hotel near Newmarket and Poets House Hotel in Ely have been put up for sale with Colliers International on either a combined or individual basis.

The two boutiques went into administration in June, and managing director David Toulson-Burke and finance director Jonathan Baker were both made redundant.

The company insisted that it was business as usual for both boutiques and they would retain all 72 employees.

Opened in 2013, the Grade-II listed Poets House Hotel originally comprises three Edwardian properties, with 21 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and two function rooms.

Paddocks House is located just outside Newmarket and consists of 13 bedrooms, a recently built Garden Room conservatory, two function rooms of differing sizes and a 50-cover dining room.

Paul Barrasford, director of hotels agency, Colliers International said “The stylish product offerings and fantastic trading locations are just a few of the key elements of these exceptional opportunities. Buyer demand for UK hotel assets such as these remains robust and transaction levels continue to rise year on year. We expect both properties to attract a high level of interest from a diverse profile of prospective buyers.”
