The hotel is aiming to offer ‘all of the understated sophistication of a private townhouse, together with the service, charm and elegance of a luxury hotel’, with interiors designed by Martin Hulbert and Jay Grierson of Martin Hulbert Design.

The pair’s previous clients include Coworth Park, Chewton Glen and Barnsley House.

No.15 Great Pulteney will welcome Jonathan Walker as managing director, from his most recent role as operations director at The Hotel Collection, following 16 years with InterContinental Hotels Group.

The new addition will strengthen the Taylor’s portfolio in Bath, since they took over the Abbey Hotel in 2012. The couple have invested in the property, doubling turnover in three years, before acquiring Villa Magdala in June 2015.
