Third Wildsmith boutique set to open in Jan after £4m refurb

The third boutique hotel from Wildsmith Hotels is set to open its doors in January following a year-long £4m renovation.

Forest Side will launch in late January as a 20-bedroom hotel complete with 50-cover restaurant headed up by Kevin tickle, former chef and head forager at L’Enclume for almost 8 years.

The hotel, set in a 19th century Victorian building, is located minutes from Grasmere and set in 46 acres of grounds, which is home to a Victorian kitchen garden.

Forest Side will officially join Hipping Hall and The Ryebeck in the Wildsmith Hotel portfolio, when it opens next year.

Dinner, bed and breakfast is being priced from £275, based on two sharing.

Wildsmith Hotels is owned by Andrew Wildsmith, while Tom Lewis, formerly of Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons & Gilpin Lodge, is operations director of the small group.
