Three Counties Hotel changes hands after 20 years

Three Counties Hotel in Hereford has changed ownership for the first time in over 20 years.

The 60-bedroom purpose-built hotel has been sold on behalf of Daniel Price and family who have owned and operated the hotel since 1995.

The hotel is now under the control of Harry Harrison and family, who have taken over the business and plan to invest in its development.

The Three Counties Hotel was originally built in 1979 as a 32 bedroom motel and was later sold to Queens Moat House Hotels In 1981, who extended the public areas and added 28 bedrooms.

The Price family then came on board and during their ownership extended the restaurant and function suite.

The hotel now comprises of 60 bedrooms, five conference suites, a restaurant and bar and lounge area, all set in 3.5 acres.

Jonathan Hill, who handled the sale on behalf of Christie & Co commented: “The market is very buoyant in the county, and we are seeing a lot of interest in businesses such as these across the region.”
