Boutique brands Hotel du Vin and Malmaison have announced the appointment of new general managers for three of the group’s popular properties.
Malmaison Oxford has welcomed Racheal Bird as GM, who has over 20 years experience in hospitality and joins from her most recent position as general manager at Malmaison Cheltenham.
She will now oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel and the launch of a new package at Malmaison Oxford, as the ‘A Wing’ becomes available for exclusive hire for weddings and events.
Her departure from the hotel has seen Steven Wilmer step up from his role as deputy GM to the head honcho position at Malmaison Cheltenham.
In his new role, Wilmer will be responsible for the operation of the hotel’s 61 bedrooms, three event rooms, and the brasserie and bar, as well as overseeing the development of his team.
His appointment follows the completion of a full bedroom refurbishment at the hotel, which has seen the introduction of the iconic Malmaison style to one of the brand’s newest locations.
Over at sister hotel brand Hotel du Vin Wimbledon has appointed Emma Dore as general manager.
She moves over from her role at Malmaison Oxford and has previously held the position at both Malmaison Newcastle and Malmaison Leeds.
