Top expert to support the real ‘service stars’ of hospitality at Boutique Hotelier Awards

Star Quality Hospitality has come on board to sponsor the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards for the second year.

Monica Or, founder and hospitality consultant for Star Quality Hospitality, has chosen to sponsor the Customer Service Star Award after deeming the ceremony a fantastic success in 2015.

“Customer Service is at the heart of everything that we do in the hospitality industry,” she explains. “It is important that your team members that go above and beyond to create memorable guest experiences are recognised for their hardwork, passion and dedication.

“I believe that awards like this really help to raise the profile of the hospitality industry. The image of hospitality being a servile industry should be laid to rest as these days it is all about genuinely caring about our guests, surprising and delighting them with random acts of kindness and being adaptable in the way that we look after our guests. Everyone is unique as should our style of service be.”

The Personal Service Star Awards celebrate hard-working hospitality stars in a total of 11 categories – from Bar Manager of the Year to Shining Star and this year’s new category addition, General Manager of the Year.

The 2016 event will also see the exciting formation of a judging panel to bring a new level of status to the awards ceremony, who will make the final decisions on all the winners.

The nomination process will open in July online and in the print magazine in August – before shortlists of five for each category are revealed at the start of October.

The Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards will be hosted on October 18, the first night of the Independent Hotel Show 2016, at London’s Hilton Olympia.

Star Quality Hospitality joins with Mitre – who are supporting the awards for the third consecutive year – as official category sponsors and will present their awards on the night.
