VisitEngland launched the new ROSE awards at this year’s Independent Hotel Show, providing boutique hotels with a new benchmark to work towards.
The Recognition Of Service Excellence (ROSE) Awards are a new industry honour, designed to give praise to hotels that provide warm welcomes to every guests and has already been awarded to 100 recipients.
Celebrating the teams and owners who ‘go that extra mile’; the awards are individual in that recipients can advertise their accolade as long as they remain in VisitEngland’s quality scheme.
Each year VisitEngland will announce another 100 recipients of the award.
Those recognised this year include 60 B&Bs, 19 self-catering providers, 16 hotels, 2 parks/campsites, 1 narrowboat, 1 serviced apartment and 1 glamping site and star ratings range from two-star to five-stars.
Every region across the country is represented, with the South West having the highest number of accommodation providers recognised.
VisitEngland’s chief executive James Berresford says: “Our new ROSE awards focus on areas of excellence that all businesses can aspire to, aiming to provide inspiration to all. Celebrating those who go that extra mile by raising standards, they will no doubt encourage others to raise their game.”
