The Wild Boar Inn Grill & Smokehouse in the Lake District has recruited a new head chef.
Gordon Stewart, whose previous head chef experience includes time at Thurnham Hall in Lancaser and the restaurant Tony’s in Auckland, New Zealand, joins the Wild Boar having recently worked as an interim chef for CJUK, which provides chefs to hotels, restaurants and similar companies in the UK.
“I am thrilled to join the Wild Boar team and to start a new role in the beautiful Lake District,” Stewart said. “I’m passionate about the provision of great food, using fresh local produce and designing creative, innovative dishes.
“Gordon is a strong addition to a talented team here and his leadership skills, influence and experience will be highly valuable,” added Adam Bujok from English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues, which runs the hotel in Crook near Windemere.
The Wild Boar Inn Grill & Smokehouse is also notable for its on-site Brewhouse micro-brewery.
