Wildsmith Hotels and Rudding Park come up trumps for their innovative marketing strategies at HMA Awards

Hotel Marketing Association announced the winners of their annual awards last night, which saw Wildsmith Hotels and Rudding Park, among other, come out victorious.

The awards, now in their 23rd year, celebrate the best marketing campaigns, both online and offline and crown Young Marketer of the Year, in six industry accolades.

Rudding Park won the Best Fully Integrated Marketing Campaign award, sponsored by Hoteltime Solutions, for the launch of its new £9m spa, which launched last year.

Wildsmith Hotels and its agency Fat Media, won the Best Website & SEO Marketing award, sponsored by Avvio, with judges praising the hotel’s ‘consistent approach to branding throughout’ with an ‘organic approach to SEO’.

Other winners included: PPHE Hotel Group, Park Plaza Hotels and Resorts’, ‘London Revealed’ campaign, won the Best Use of Social Media in Marketing award; Hilton Worldwide’s, ‘Waldorf Astoria at the Goodwood Festival of Speed’ campaign, won the Best Partnership Marketing Campaign award and LAW Creative’s, Radisson Blu ‘As Committed as You’ campaign, won the Most Creative Activity by an Agency award.

Stephen Moran, marketing manager, InterContinental London Park Lane won the coveted Young Marketer of the Year award.

Steve Lowy, chairman of the Hotel Marketing Association, said: “As the annual awards go from strength to strength, we were delighted by the high number of entries received. The breadth of the entries demonstrated just how creative, innovative and engaging hospitality marketing is. The best campaigns were those that were SMART, well thought through, collaborative and engaged with their targeted audiences.”
