Wildsmith Hotel group has announced that its new hotel in the Lake District will open this September.
Forest Side will be a 21 bedroom luxury hotel in Grasmere in the Lakes, and will mark the brand’s third property in the Wildsmith portfolio, joining Hipping Hall and The Ryebeck.
The hotel will also be home to a 50-cover restaurant, headed up by chef Kevin Tickle, former sous and head forager at L’Enclume, and head chef at ‘Rogan & Co’.
Andrew Wildsmith, owner of Wildsmith Hotels, has also revealed that he has invested £4.5m into updating the property ready for its September opening.
On site there will be 42 acres of landscaped and wooded private grounds, including nature trails and a Victorian walled kitchen garden.
A secluded trail will also lead directly to Wordsworth’s house from Forest Side.
