The winner of the Simon Jersey uniform competition has been announced and the lucky hotelier will now receive £3,000 worth of boutique-inspired uniform for its staff.
The winners have been revealed as Louise and Andrew Macbeth, owners of Beck Hall in Malham, Yorkshire. Chosen for that fact that the young team are working tirelessly to restore the ancient property, the 18-bedroom hotel will now benefit from sleek new uniforms.
In November, leading uniform provider Simon Jersey launched a special competition in collaboration with Boutique Hotelier, giving boutique hotels up and down the country the chance to kit out their employees with uniform up to the value of £3,000.
Both Louise and Andrew will now work with Simon Jersey’s design manager, Helen Harker, to create a uniform that is both fashionable and functional, suited to each individual’s daily role as well as the style, décor and personality of Beck Hall.
Helen Harker, design manager at Simon Jersey, said: “Louise and Andrew’s entry in the Boutique Hotelier competition really stood out. Their passion for Beck Hall, its location and its history was clear to see.
“We’re looking forward to working with the team to create a stand-out uniform that reflects and enhances the new branding they are creating.”
The competition and new collection mark a fresh direction for Simon Jersey, following its rebrand last year. James Saunders, managing director, explained: “Re-launching the business gave us the chance to try new things and we are rediscovering our strengths as we move forward. Unveiling the Boutique Hotel range has been really exciting for us and has given us the opportunity to come back onto the market with a bang.
“The new collection has been developed in line with the needs of employees working in boutique hotels and the feedback we have received has been great. We’re looking forward to celebrating further with Louise and Andrew and working with them to design a new team look.”
