A four-star hotel in Wirral has unveiled a new-look fine dining restaurant after a £100,000 makeover at the property.
Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa’s three AA Rosette restaurant The Lawns now boasts new wall coverings, lights and a selection of bespoke soft furnishings including hand-made chairs and curtains.
Geoff Dale, general manager at the hotel said they had purposely decided to create a more ‘boutique feel’ in the restaurant, using quirky features and design touches that now match the food on the menus.
Some of the restaurant’s original features have been retained, including a mother of pearl inlaid ceiling, decorative wooden panelling and an open fireplace.
Speaking to North West Caterer, Geoff Dale, general manager at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa, said: “We’re absolutely committed to making sure we meet, if not exceed our guests’ expectations and this is the latest in a long line of refurbishment projects to that end.”
The upgrade of The Lawns marks the final phase of a £1.5m investment that took place earlier this year into the hotel’s reception, brasserie, kitchen and bedrooms.
