A hotel in Wolverhampton is celebrating the completion of its major refurbishment after years of hard work have finally come to an end.
The Mount Hotel has undergone extensive renovation works since 2011, which has seen its 65 guest bedrooms, restaurant and bar completely modernised.
The Grade-II manor house’s new look has been designed to protect the existing character of the hotel, while bringing in modern and contemporary touches along the way.
The hotel’s upgrade has already made a good impression on both guests and the industry, with the Mount Hotel’s restaurant achieving an AA Rosette, the hotel being recognised by TripAdvisor and an increase in visitor numbers.
The hotel has also been a finalist in the England and Wales Great Food Awards.
Owner Scott Bernard commented: “The refurbishment has taken three years due to not interrupting weddings and functions at the hotel and we have used only the finest designs and top quality trades in order to ensure our product far exceeds the standards set by the modern traveller.”
Bernard continued: “We’ve opened a fantastic restaurant and are proud to be the setting for both business and leisure guests, in addition to offering the perfect setting to tie the knot!”
