Beck Hall, an 18-bedroom hotel in the Yorkshire Dales village of Malham, is in search of 10 hospitality stars to join its team ahead of the launch of a new streamside deli and ‘Bistro by the Beck’, in May.
The new deli and bistro will serve up farm-fresh local produce developed into simple but delicious dishes.
Menus will be small but perfectly formed and will change with the seasons, according to owners Louise and Andrew Macbeth. The couple took over Beck Hall in July 2014 and embarked on the rebranding and on-going renovation of the property, which dates back to 1705 and currently operates on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
“We’ll be offering relaxed lunches and picnics by the stream with a scrumptious selection of farmhouse cheeses, cold cuts, chutneys, salads, home-baked bread and cakes, as well as very special afternoon teas,” said Mrs Macbeth.
Speaking of the bistro, she added: “Think candlelit evenings by the babbling beck with a glass of bubbles or a local beer, good food and great value."
Beck Hall Hotel is known for its dog friendliness and the deli and bistro will also welcome four-legged friends.
Mr and Mrs Macbeth are now on the hunt for an experienced head chef to take the reins and help put Beck Hall and the honeypot Yorkshire Dales village on North Yorkshire’s culinary map.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious chef to become the face of Bistro by the Beck, using their flair and the fantastic range of ingredients available on our doorstep to make their mark on the region’s food and beverage industry,” said Mrs Macbeth.
Beck Hall is also recruiting for a junior sous chef; kitchen porter; bistro waiters and waitresses; deli supervisor; deli assistant; hotel assistant manager; hotel general assistant and housekeeping staff.
