The family-run young boutique brand, Flat Cap Hotels, has secured financial backing from a private investor that will now help to roll out its ambitious expansion plans.
The new hotel group, founded by brothers Oliver and Dominic Heywood in 2015, is now being supported by a private investor, which will see the group edge closer to their goal of achieving five properties in operation in the North West by 2019.
Flat Cap Hotels launched their first property, The Vicarage Freehouse and Rooms last year and in 2016, secured their second site, the former Crown Court in Knutsford.
This property is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, with phase one due to open before Christmas.
The duo are planning to convert the building into The Courthouse boutique hotel, complete with 60 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and events venue for up to 550 guests.
Now the private investor will help with this growth.
Founder Oliver Heywood comments: “Myself and Dominic are overwhelmed by the support we’ve received in our first year at The Vicarage and we are thrilled by the opportunities this investment opens up to Flat Cap Hotels.”
