A property developer has relaunched a 10-bed hotel as a luxury boutique following an 18-month, £3m transformation project.
David Wilson took over Beadnell Towers in October 2016 and is now putting the ‘finishing touches’ to the new-look 18-bedroom venue, complete with kitchen, bar and terrace.
The relaunched Beadnell Towers has been designed by Matt Hulme of Dynargh Design, whose previous work includes a number of Hotel du Vin properties and the Cookie Jar in Alnwick.
The 100-seat open plan restaurant, bar and kitchen is headed up by chef Tong McDermott and will operate alongside the hotel’s Reading Room lounge.
The intention is now for the property to appeal to the family market, with six of the bedrooms available to be booked together as family suites.
Denis Frucot was appointed general manager 12 months ago, and comes with a wealth of experience at the likes of Macdonald Linden Hall in Morpeth, Seckford Hall at Woodbridge in Suffolk, and Hoste at Bunham Market in Norfolk, after spending 16 years with Hotel du Vin and Malmaison.
