Dakota Manchester will officially open its doors on May 18, launching a Champagne Room, Cigar Garden and the ‘largest suite in the city’ for the first time in Manchester.

Situated on Ducie Street close to Piccadilly Station, Dakota Manchester will be the fifth property in the Dakota portfolio and is the result of a £30m development headed up by founder Ken McCulloch and Evans Property Group.

Dakota Manchester will comprise 137 luxury bedrooms, boasting 20 luxury suites, including the Grand Deluxe Suite on the top floor, which will be home to both indoor and outdoor space, a lounge, dining area, bedrooms and bathrooms with views across the city.

The bedrooms have been created by interior designer Amanda Rose and all feature rainfall showers and bespoke toiletries as well as a smart TV and high-speed Wifi.

The Dakota Grill will serve a ‘classically-inspired’ menu and will be positioned to be a ‘social dining experience’ as a neighbourhood brasserie.

The Dakota Grill will also boast private dining spaces for up to 24 people.

The hotel’s cocktail bar is accompanied by the Champagne Room, another first for the city, while a purpose-built cigar terrace is designed to bring ‘old-school Mayfair to Manchester’.

Founder of Dakota Hotels, Ken McCulloch, said: “The most important thing for me is a hotel that makes you feel special, it’s the finer details that make all the difference. I have only the simplest of tastes. I only want the best. It’s all about the simple things done brilliantly. There’s no place like home, but we’re working on it.”
