Focus Hotels Management Ltd has added the Swan’s Nest Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon to its portfolio of managed hotels across the UK.
The 72-bedroom Georgian townhouse hotel in the heart of Shakespeare’s hometown has been acquired from Macdonald Hotels
Focus Hotels Management chief executive Peter Cashman said: “We are thrilled to have added this great hotel to our portfolio.
“Many hotels across this region lay claim to a long history but very few can list as long or as rich a history as the Swan’s Nest Hotel.
The hotel unveiled a collection of new suites following a £1.3m investment last year.
The portfolio operated by Focus Hotel Management comprises 17 hotels open, under development and in planning totalling 1,669 bedrooms.
The Swan’s Nest Hotel building was one of the earliest brick houses in the town built around 1673, and the bricks are known to have been made on the site.
