No 11, a small boutique hotel in Edinburgh’s Brunswick Street, has been brought to the market through Christie & Co with an asking price just shy of £2m.
The hotel is situated close to tourist spots such as Calton Hill, Princes Street and the Playhouse Theatre Edinburgh and comprises 10 bedrooms, a 26-cover Brasserie Restaurant and private garden.
No11 is on the market at offers of £1,950,000 for the freehold going concern.
The property dates back to 1822, when it was commissioned by Scottish architect William Playfair and the first owner of Lady Francis Erskine, the eldest daughter of the Earl of Mar.
In 1991 after 60 years as a regimental club, the building was turned into a hotel. Under its current ownership the property was extensively refurbished in 2012 and retains many of its original Georgian features, including the cupola, cornices and central ceiling roses, to the heavy front Portico flanked by solid stone Doric columns and grand entrance hall.
There is also scope to add additional rooms with planning permission granted to create further bedrooms at lower ground floor level.
