Gara Rock, a new boutique hotel in Salcombe, has appointed a new head chef.
The hotel, which is owned and operated by Aria Resorts, opened last year after a significant investment to transform the property into a luxury boutique focused on wellness.
Now Christopher Warwick has been hired as Gara Rock’s new head chef, who returns to the UK after running the Fresh in The Garden restaurant at luxury Maldives resort, Soneva Fushi.
Warwick has also worked alongside Michelin star chefs, with experience working with Phillip Howard at The Square London, Jason Atherton at Gordon Ramsay’s Signature restaurant in Dubai Verre, Brett Graham at The Ledbury London and John Campbell at Coworth Park.
He replaces Lewis Glanvill, who is to leave the hotel to join Riverford Field Kitchen in nearby Buckfastleigh as head chef.
