Hoteliers Peter and Lana de Savary are to open their latest venture on September 1, as they prepare to launch a new Woodland Spa at their boutique hotel The Eastbury in Dorset.
The duo acquired the property in January 2018 and have since invested a significant amount in upgrading the Grade-II listed hotel’s public areas and bedrooms, with the new spa and five special Potting Shed Garden Suites due to launch over the next few months.
The refurbishment, headed up by the de Savarys and interior designer Kathleen Fraser has also included the addition of a new snooker room and the conversion of three new bedrooms to take the total number of guest rooms to 26 when the final project is unveiled.
New restaurant Seasons has also been launched, with a new more informal House menu as well as a seven-course tasting menu, with the kitchen led by food & beverage director Matt Street.
Opening September 1, the Woodland Spa will be situated in a corner of the garden and will follow the launch of the five new Garden suites on 1 August.
The spa will be built from local stone, complete with sedum and moss roof circular doorway; it has been dubbed the ‘hobbit spa’.
It will consist of two treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room, exercise area and private relaxation space.
