A stylish pub with rooms in Derbyshire has announced the appointment of a new head chef.
The Duncombe Arms has welcomed Jake Boyce to the role, who joins from Minnow in London. He has also worked with some well respected chef names including Tom Aitkins and Jason Atherton for whom he was head chef at his Social Wine and Tapas.
On the hotel side, he boasts previous experience at Calcot Manor, Ham Yard Hotel and Dean Street Townhouse in the capital.
Boyce says the new opportunity is a chance to ‘get back to his culinary roots’.
The pub opened 10 bedrooms in January this year and its restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes. The business has also been nominated for Best Dining Pub in Staffordshire for 2018 and 2019
The Duncombe Arms is owned by Johnny and Laura Greenall, who reopened the business after a renovation in 2012.
