The Swan Tarporley has begun renovations ahead of the launch of its new menu, which will see the business overhauled from the bedrooms to the public areas and restaurant.
The 16th century coaching inn in Cheshire was acquired by 16 Hospitality, the pub, bar, hotel and restaurant business run by Edward Barlow, in 2009, with a ‘significant investment’ now being made into a refurbishment at the historic property.
As well as 16 bedrooms, The Swan will introduce a new bar area, over ground wine cellar and more formal dining area.
The menu will receive a ‘radical overhaul’ featuring grills from the new Josper indoor barbeque, with a new wine selection also being introduced.
On completion of the renovation, The Swan will be holding a launch event for selected guests, with a series of soft launches taking place before opening its doors to the wider public towards the end of summer.
The Swan’s general manager is Neal Thacker.
Edward Barlow, founder of 16 hospitality who own The Swan, explained: “The renovation gives us the opportunity to better service our wide range of guests, and the and new food options offer something completely fresh. Alongside the menu relaunch, we will continue to offer visitors a wide selection of drinks, from refreshing thirst-quenchers to cask ales and international wines any connoisseur would be proud to peruse.”
16Hospitality comprises three pubs with rooms, one restaurant and one dining pub across the country in its portfolio.
