Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards shortlist REVEALED: General Manager of the Year


We can now reveal the final staff members who have been shortlisted for a Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Award. And today we find out how has made the cut in the hotly-anticipated General Manager of the Year category, sponsored by Tradelinens. 

All this week we will be revealing who has made the shortlist for a total of 11 category awards, with the finalists for Restaurant Manager and Bar Manager announced on Monday; and Housekeeping Manager and Front of House Manager unveiled Tuesday; Wednesday saw Concierge and Customer Service star revealed; and yesterday was the turn of Shining Star and Reservations / Revenue Manager.

From country house hotels, to boutiques in the city, managers, owners and staff were eager to give their employees the recognition they deserve.

The category of General Manager this year received a record number of nominations and we will be announcing both a Winner and a Highly Commended at the awards.

We can now reveal the finalists who have made the shortlist for General Manager of the Year, sponsored by Tradelinens, as:

Adam Dyke – The Devonshire Arms

Pim Wolfs – Pale Hall Hotel

Oliver Smith – Sharrow Bay

Paul deSteCroix-Hanson – Hotel Aiggurat

Charlotte Tuck – The Old Stocks Inn

Richard Grove – The Chester Grosvenor 

Dominic Osborne – Aviator by TAG

Adam Rowledge – Georgian House Hotel

Now with the shortlist announced, the winner will be decided by a judging panel – consisting of five top industry experts – which will then be revealed at the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards on October 17 at Hilton Olympia.

The event, taking place on the first day of Independent Hotel Show 2017, is free to attend for hoteliers and staff and will be a night of free-flowing Champagne and canapés.
