Alexander Hotels has launched a new online grocery service in response to the current Covid-19 crisis.
The click & collect service launched on March 26 at Alexander House in West Sussex and Langshott Manor in Surrey with a home delivery service for vulnerable households within 5 miles of each hotel to follow next week.
The online grocery service will be extended to Great Fosters, near Windsor and Barnett Hill in the Surrey Hills in the coming days.
The usual gift voucher shop is now an online grocery store offering a range of products including meat, fruit & veg boxes, frozen ready meals, dairy, store cupboard and household goods.
Meat including a range of ‘butcher’s selection packs’ has been sourced from a West Sussex butcher and the ready meals from a local Kent supplier.
Orders placed by 7pm will be available for collection the next day and the hotels will contact clients to arrange a collection time to ensure that social distancing is maintained.
Ian Heath, operations director said: “The team has worked extremely hard to get our new online grocery store up & running quickly. New items will be added in the coming days and we can’t wait to offer our local community & neighbours this service during what is a very difficult time for everyone. Alexander Hotels is owned by Peter and Deborah Hinchliffe and comprises Alexander House, West Sussex; Langshott Manor near Gatwick; Rowhill Grange, Wilmington, Kent; Barnett Hill in the Surrey Hills near Guildford and Great Fosters near Windsor.
