Amazon Alexa top of the agenda for boutique bedroom expansion at Hull pub


A pub near Hull has expanded for five boutique bedrooms and put technology at the heart of the experience by installing an Amazon Alexa in each one.

The Fox & Coney in South Cave’s Market Place has unveiled five bedrooms inside the Grade-II listed building, with plans to open several more in the coming months.

The 16th century property was taken over last year by Sam Carroll and Michael Ashton, owners of The Triton in Brantingham, and has since undergone a refurbishment to transform the building into a new stylish pub with rooms.

The pair closed the Rose & Crown pub in Beverley In 2017, blaming a lack of investment by Ei Group, previously known as Enterprise Inns. At the time they said they would concentrate on other ventures.
