Corinthia becomes first hotel to offer free group fitness sessions to guests

Corinthia London has announced a full gym refurbishment and a new partnership with AMP (Athletic Medical Performance), which will see it reportedly become the world’s first hotel to offer unlimited complimentary group fitness sessions to guests.

Launching this month, the hotel says the AMP partnership will ‘bring a new, highly evolved, science and evidence-based fitness offering.’

AMP’s approach is centred around Small Group Personal Training (SGPT) specialising in elite coaching. Their training programme delivers results in Strength, Endurance and Body Composition.

Corinthia London will be the first hotel to offer SGPT on a complimentary basis to its guests.

The refurbished gym features brands including BLK BOX, Technogym, Peloton, and Theragun.

The space also includes PT Pods, weight benches, racks, rigs, pull-up bars and high-performance turf to offer users extreme workout versatility.

Steve Mellor, AMP Founder, commented: “Corinthia London is the first hotel to offer unlimited, complimentary group fitness sessions. I am excited to work with a leading luxury hotel that excels in service excellence and prioritises the needs of a modern traveller. The team embrace the importance of fitness and their drive for distinction is apparent across the entire hotel.”

Thomas Kochs, General Manager at Corinthia London, added: “I am passionate about health and wellness and helping our guests who want to be the best version of themselves. We continue to see a trend in our guests maintaining workout schedules whether travelling on business or leisure.

“Our new gym space will create a dynamic and encouraging atmosphere with unlimited access to coaches to ensure our guests, who enjoy fitness, stay motivated and achieve their desired results. Having known and worked with Steve for many years, it makes perfect sense for us to partner together.”

Guided sessions by AMP’s team of expert coaches will run throughout the day with multiple sessions in the morning, at lunchtime and after work. One-to-one personal training will also be available as well as free training.
