Trendy boutique hotel brand, Artist Residence, has revealed it will open its next property in Oxford this March.

The award-winning hotel group founded and run by husband and wife team Justin and Charlie Salisbury, announced at the end of last year the acquisition and development of its next hotel in South Leigh Oxford.

Now the team has announced that its fourth property will open in just a few months’ time in March after an extensive refurbishment programme.

Artist Residence Oxford will join hotels in Cornwall, Brighton and Pimlico in London in the portfolio when it opens its doors.

The Salisburys are in the process of renovating the country pub and restaurant, which will be home to 12 bedrooms when the property opens fully towards the end of the year.

As part of the development, Justin and Charlie have picked pieces from their favourite auction houses and reclamation yards to complement existing period features and continue the brand’s signature style.

Recognised artists The Connor Brothers will be working closely with the pair on a bespoke collection of work for the bar focused around their fictional character, Mr Hanbury.

Five bedrooms in the original thatched roof building will open in March, while work will continue on a further seven bedrooms in the outbuilding and stables.
