Leamington Spa’s Falstaff Hotel has appointed a new general manager to drive the business following a £500k renovation at the hotel under its new ownership.
Alexander McLean has joined the team following the purchased of the 63 bedroom hotel by property company Turnbrook Limited, in March.
The property is being run by hotel management company, Assured Hotels.
McLean has a wealth of experience in the hotel sector, including roles at the likes of Campanile in Birmingham, Dunollie (Isle of Skye), Oxford Hotels and Bespoke Hotels.
He moves to the GM position at The Falstaff from the Highwayman Hotel in Dunstable.
Mathew Griffin, managing director of the hotel management company Assured Hotels, comments: “We are delighted to have made this appointment as we prepare to manage a considerable investment in the property.”
McLean comments: “I was drawn to The Falstaff Hotel straight away – any hotel manager likes to be involved in a major investment and let’s not forget that Leamington was, after all, named ‘the happiest place in Britain’ by Rightmove recently.”
