Quest Apartment Hotels, Australasia’s largest apartment hotel operator has opened its doors in Liverpool – its first property in the UK and its first outside Australasia.
The property launches following a year-long £10m transformation converting and adding to the top three floors of the 1980’s commercial office building.
The new apartment hotel complex comprises 100 serviced apartments, reception, conference room, gym and back-of-house facilities.
Established by entrepreneur Paul Constantinou AM 30 years ago in Melbourne, the 170 strong Quest Apartment Hotels portfolio has made its name by offering a ‘home away from home’ to extended stay business travellers in key cities, regional towns and suburban locations across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
With 29 properties currently in the pipeline and 14 under construction in its home markets – the brand plans to open ten properties across the UK in the next five years, with Liverpool marking the first.
Andrew Weisz, general manager – UK & Europe Growth at Quest Apartment Hotels said: “While the implications of a Brexit deal remain uncertain, one thing we know for sure is that Liverpool will remain a dynamic business hub that will continue to thrive. With an unrivalled location putting us at the heart of the thriving business community, we are confident Quest Liverpool City Centre will be the start of an exciting journey for Quest as we grow our presence and the apartment hotel proposition in the UK.”
Quest Liverpool City Centre employs 25 part-time and full-time local staff including front of house, concierge guest services, housekeeping and maintenance and will be managed by Cycas Hospitality.
