Leading booking engine Avvio has spoken out about the importance of celebrating the ‘best in class’ in hospitality, following the company’s recent sponsorship of the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards 2017.

The company, which sponsored the Reservations / Revenue Manager of the Year category won by Freya Coffey from Aviator by TAG, said it was ‘proud’ to be working with Boutique Hotelier for the fourth annual awards held last week at Hilton Olympia in London.

Chris Rose, marketing manager said: “As a leading booking engine provider to hundreds of independent and boutique hotels across the world, Avvio is proud to be working with Boutique Hotelier to recognise and celebrate the top personal stars in our industry.”

The Awards, which saw 11 categories won by outstanding employees from the likes of Mullion Cove Hotel, Harbour Hotel Christchurch, Georgian House Hotel and The Devonshire Arms, brought together the crème da le crème of the sector on 17 October, the first evening of the Independent Hotel Show for the ceremony.

Rose added: “Avvio provides best-in-class direct booking technology which enables hoteliers to maximise their direct bookings through their own website, and reducing reliance on the online travel agencies. This means boutique and lifestyle hotels can free up time to concentrate on providing the best service possible to each guest from the moment they make a booking.”
