Ecommerce booking platform provider Avvio has appointed a new vice president of client strategy in a bid to develop future business plans.
The company’s newest recruit Ian Sloan joins the hotel specialist with 15 years of experience with global hotel brands, including Hilton Hotels and Centrice.
In his new role, Sloan will work closely with hotel owners and managers, ensuring Avvio continues to develop and enhance its services in line with their future business plans and strategy, as well as industry trends and changes.
He joined Avvio at the beginning of the year after meeting co-founder and CEO Frank Reeves last year, shortly after Avvio had launched the world’s first AI powered booking engine Allora.
“I was really excited by what Avvio was doing by creating Allora, the world’s first AI powered booking engine and it fitted perfectly with my extensive experience and expertise in hotels and artificial intelligence,” Sloan said.
“I had worked for two very, very big operators with thousands of employees for more than a decade, and I really wanted to work for a smaller, more agile business where I could get involved in all aspects of strategy and at all levels of the company.”
Reeves added: “We’re really pleased to welcome Ian to our team. His expertise in the hotel business, paired with an in-depth knowledge of AI applications and developments, will add great value to Avvio and be of great benefit to all our clients.”
