Award-winning guest house goes up for sale for £1.275m as owners opt for retirement

Belforte House, a four-star guest house in Sale, Greater Manchester has been brought to the market for £1.275m after its owners opted for retirement.

Located close to Manchester Airport and Manchester United Football Club, the guest house has 22 bedrooms (18 ensuite) offering a variety of single, double, triple and twin rooms.

Originally two Victorian houses dating back to 1874, the properties were joined by a ground floor extension built in 1974 to create the guest house. The business is spread across four floors and set within its own grounds and landscaped gardens with private terraces to the rear.

There is also a separate two-storey detached cottage situated within the owner’s private area.

This has the potential to be converted into owners’ accommodation, allowing the current owners’ living space in the main building to be used as extra letting accommodation.

Tom O’Malley, business agent in Christie & Co’s Manchester office who is handling the sale, comments: “As the current owners have taken the decision to sell to enjoy their well-deserved retirement, Belforte House offers a new operator the excellent opportunity to acquire a thriving business with development potential to increase revenue further.

“The business has all year round trade and holds a number of awards including the Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor and a four-star by VisitBritain. It is also currently rated Excellent on Laterooms, holds a 9.3 superb rating on and is rated as the top B&B in Sale on TripAdvisor.”
