Bath boutique launches private Igloo meeting space

The Abbey Hotel in Bath has launched a new private meeting room concept called Igloo.

Set in vaults beneath the 60-bedroom hotel, the Igloo has been designed to bring a new offering to the city for meetings and private events.

With a secluded entrance, Igloo comprises a main vault space and four private booths in the adjoining vault.

By day Igloo is a bright meetings area with space to host up to 80 delegates, and has a range of colour schemes that can be tailored to suit a company’s branding as required.

The private booths are available to rent by the hour or per day – with space for up to eight delegates in each – designed to suit breakout spaces for brainstorms or smaller company meetings. Each has its own TV monitor and an individual colour scheme.

By night, Igloo becomes a sophisticated events space for drinks receptions, dinners or larger gatherings for up to 100 guests. There is an ice-effect bar, glowing fires and LED lighting, plus on offer there are Igloo cocktails, a house DJ and glowing bar stools.

The Abbey Hotel is independently owned by Ian and Christa Taylor and is home to 60 bedrooms, an award-winning Allium restautant and ArtBar.
