Where? Southbank, London
Operated by: Ruby Hotels
Munich-based hotel brand, Ruby Hotels, is to open the doors to its first UK property in January 2020 on London’s Southbank.
The new 76-bedroom hotel, Ruby Lucy, is part of an ambitious expansion plan which will see 11 new hotels, including a second London property open by 2022.
The new hotel will be inspired by the area, with the carnival theme running throughout.
Rich, dark tones will meet bright brass accents and subtle
stripes will be accented with playful props including circus drums and juggling
A Marshall guitar amp will feature in each guest room, where guests can use their own guitar or borrow one from reception and Ruby Radio, the hotel group’s own internet radio station. There will also be a personal tablet in each bedroom and a self-check in system.
A communal space will serve breakfast, and mini bars and room service replaced with galley kitchens, vending machines and ironing stations.
Founded in 2013, the group already operates seven Ruby Hotels in Europe, with eleven additional hotels either under construction or in the planning phase of construction.
