After months of anticipation and a record number of entries, the big reveal of the finalists for the 2019 Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards has now begun.
Yesterday saw the announcement of two categories – Reservations / Revenue Manager of the Year category, and Spa / Wellness Manager of the Year, sponsored by Rehegoo Music Group – as momentum builds ahead of the ceremony in October 15th.
Now we can reveal the finalists in the Shining Star and General Manager of the Year category, sponsored by Out of Eden.
From country house hotels, to boutiques in the city, managers, owners and staff were eager to give their employees the recognition they deserve.
The shortlist for Shining Star Award is:
Laura Kitchen – The Black Bull Sedburgh
Sharon Brown – The Nadler Liverpool
Jake Poynter – Captains Club Hotel
Samuele Cucino – Billesley Manor

Now with the shortlists being announced, the winners will be decided by a judging panel – consisting of top industry experts; Peter Hancock, chief executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, Giovanni Grossi from The AA, Philip Turner, founder, The Chestnut Group and Michele Mella, general manager, Barnsley House.
The winners will then be revealed at the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards on October 15 at Hilton Olympia.
The event, taking place on the first day of Independent Hotel Show 2019, is free to attend for hoteliers and staff and will be a night of free-flowing Champagne and canapés.
