The Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa

The Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa in Wiltshire has been acquired by Versant Developments, a company headed up by an expert in the commercial and residential property development sector.

The four-star hotel was previously owned by the Longleat Group and will continue to run as normal under the new ownership.

Frank Mountain, who has an extensive business background, including over 20 years of experience within the residential sector, is now planning to give the property an extensive refurbishment to open up its potential.

Mountain, director of Versant Developments, said: “We are very excited about this new venture. Bishopstrow is a spectacular hotel in a wonderful setting and when we originally looked at the prospect of purchasing the hotel we saw great potential here.”

Versant Developments is keen to transform and modernise the hotel but wish to keep the country house feel and will be developing new features whilst focusing on improving the guest experience.

The Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa is set within 27 acres alongside the River Wylye and is home to a boutique spa with indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, 32 bedrooms and suites, as well as a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.
