Boutique’s new website gains critical acclaim as hotel continues on its winning streak

Leathes Head Hotel

The Leathes Head Hotel in Borrowdale Valley near Keswick has added to its awards cabinet soon after the launch of its new website.

The hotel, which revealed its new online portal in April, was awarded a platinum accolade at the 2016 International Hermes Creative Awards.

The win for the 11-bedroom hotel comes after the property scooped the title of Small Hotel of the Year at the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2016 and the AA’s Silver Star Status earlier this year.

Jamie Adamson, manager of The Leathes Head Hotel, said he had a clear brief for the website from the start, in a bid to capture more direct bookings and wean the hotel off the OTAs.

He said: “We wanted a new website which was very mobile device friendly using the latest leading technology. We are in a very competitive location, with some of the best hotels in the UK and we needed our website to stand out so that we would increase hotel direct bookings. We felt it also important that the website reflected the style and values of the hotel. We have been pleased with Guest Centrics design and the bookings achieved so far.”

Working closely with the team at The Leathes Head, GuestCentric designed and developed a technology driven website, following the latest trends.
