Five-star Dartmouth National Park-based Bovey Castle has hired a resort director and general manager from within the team.
The country estate hotel has promoted Greg Fehler to resort director. Prior to his recent appointment, Fehler held the position of general manager since joining the hotel in 2014.
With Fehler leaving the role Francisco Macedo has been promoted to general manager having joined the property in 2015 as Hotel Manager.
The privately-owned Eden Hotel Collection acquired Bovey Castle in 2014 and embarked on an extensive £10 million investment at the hotel.
Set in 275 acres of countryside within Dartmoor National Park, the flagship property has 60 bedrooms, 22 lodges, an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts and an Elan Spa complete with Art Deco swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms and a dedicated Gentlemen’s Quarter.
The hotel was awarded five stars by the AA last year and its flagship restaurant the Great Western, which Mark Budd heads up, has recently been awarded three rosettes by the AA for its culinary excellence.
At the beginning of the year it was revealed that the venue had been awarded the coveted accolade of three AA Rosettes for its culinary excellence.
