The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny is blazing a trail in Wales by introducing a new ‘business brain food’ package to target the corporate market.

The four-star hotel, which won AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2016 /17, has announced the launch of a new curated menu of healthy, brain boosting food to improve productivity and maximise team performance throughout the day.

The new package has been unveiled ahead of the hotel’s annual Conference Showcase which takes place this week.

For delegates attending meetings or business events at the hotel, breakfast consists of wholegrain bread from The Angel’s bakery, fish and fruit platters.

For lunch The Angel’s head chef Wesley Hammond has created his very own take on the popular Japanese ‘bento box’, which includes smoked mackerel fillet, grilled chicken, avocado and a 70% memory-boosting dark chocolate and beetroot brownie.

Dinner consists of a red rice salad with pearl barley, sprouting broccoli, avocado, carrot, celery, beetroot, rocket; topped with grilled chicken breast, tiger prawns or seared tuna.

The package also includes healthy portions of seeds, nuts and berries throughout the day, as well as the opportunity to start the day with an early morning walk in the Brecon Beacons alongside local experts Drover Holidays.

The Angel Hotel is home to 35 bedrooms and is owned by Caradog Hotels, who took over in 2002.
