Claire Randall has resigned from Lucknam Park after almost 20 years with the property.
Randall, who has been managing director at the five-star hotel near Bath since 2010, told Boutique Hotelier that she was leaving to pursue another opportunity and will part ways with the hotel officially in February.
An announcement regarding her new position is expected to be made next week.
Claire Randall commented: “Working with Lucknam Park has been the most amazing opportunity and I am immensely proud of all that we have achieved with my truly committed team, which has been made possible by the significant investment and support of the owners. I am of course very sad to leave but do so after a record-breaking trading year and some very rewarding accolades.”
Harry Murray MBE MI, chairman commented: “Claire Randall was married at Lucknam Park in 1998 and when a vacancy at Lucknam Park for a General Manager became available a few months later she applied and was appointed in May 1999. In July 2010 when I became chairman Claire was promoted to managing director. On behalf of the owners, directors & myself we would like to thank Claire for her loyal service during past 20 years and wish her every success in the future.”
Randall first joined Lucknam Park in April 1999 as general manager, and was promoted to the position of managing director to work alongside chairman Harry Murray 11 years later.
During her time at the hotel, she has been an integral part of the property’s development and evolution, overseeing a £20m investment project and the launch of the spa in 2008.
Prior to her appointment at Lucknam Park, Randall was an inspector for the Michelin Guide in GB and Ireland.
The 42-bedroom hotel is set in 500 acres of grounds and is home to the Michelin-star Restaurant Hywel Jones, luxury ESPA spa and cookery school.
