Brightstar Hospitality to rebrand The Villare Hotel following acquisition


Brightstar Hospitality has acquired The Villare Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, with plans to rebrand the property back to its original name, The Grosvenor.

The hotel management company has purchased the 76-bedroom hotel for an undisclosed sum, with the sale led by Brightstar Hospitality chairman, Clive Nicholls, who originally hails from Stratford-upon-Avon.

Formerly The Grosvenor, the hotel will undergo a renovation programme before being relaunched under its original name.

Clive Nicholls, chairman of Brightstar Hospitality said: “Our intention is to upgrade the hotel, bring back its original name and take it back to its glory days.”

CEO of Brightstar Hospitality, Nikhil Gupta said: “The Villare Hotel is an extraordinary hotel. We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming this hotel into our collection. Its location in such a popular part of the UK makes it perfect for all travellers.”

The Villare Hotel takes Peterborough-based Brightstar Hospitality’s portfolio to 13 hotels.

The group plans to expand across the country with additional acquisitions in the pipeline.
