Bristol 20-bedroom hotel brings in new buyers in new deal

A hotel in Bristol has come under new ownership following the property’s sale last week for an undisclosed sum.

Henbury Lodge Hotel in Bristol has been sold by Tim and Rosalind Forester, with help from lawyers at Royds Withy King’s leisure and hospitality team, to new owners who will retain the hotel’s management team and staff of 16 people.

The Grade-II listed building dates back to the 1600s and is now home to 20 bedrooms.

Currently operating under the Best Western stamp since 2009, it is unconfirmed if the hotel will remain under this brand once the new owners take over.

Alongside the 20 bedrooms, Henbury Lodge Hotel is also home to The Blaise Restaurant.

Caroline Entwistle, head of Royds Withy King’s leisure and hospitality team, said: “It was a pleasure to work with our clients to secure a swift and successful sale within the agreed timescales to a local business. The property has great character and was voted the top hotel in Bristol on TripAdvisor so its appeal is easy to see.”
