British chef Scott Price is to open a new hospitality venture in the form of a new B&B in Gretna Green, Scotland.
Price is currently located in Dubai and is one half of Gates Hospitality with business partner and fellow chef Nick Alvis, which runs Dubai restaurant, folly.
It was revealed by BH’s sister title in the UAE, Caterer Middle East, that Price is planning a return to the UK after taking over self-contained bed and breakfast, Moorside Farmhouse in Scotland.
Speaking to Caterer Middle East, Price says: “I’m really excited about the potential of what we can do there. Meeting suppliers, seeing what’s around, and using really seasonable produce. Scotland is the world’s larder, really. Being away for so long you forget how good everything is in the UK.”
Having grown up in the area, Price is determined to make it an exciting destination venue for the local community, with long terms plans including an event space.
Alongside the new venture, Price is launching a consultancy company, Centre Stage Hospitality, with his wife Emily.
He will remain working in the kitchen of folly until the end of July.
