Rockliffe Hall appointed experienced hotelier Jason Adams as its new managing director earlier this year to oversee all aspects of the five-star hotel and resort.
The managing director role is a new one. Eamonn Elliott, the hotel’s previous chief executive, left in August 2019. Its chairman, Warwick Brindle, has been overseeing the management of Rockliffe Hall in the interim.
Prior to his appointment, Jason had gained vast management experience at some of the country’s best hotels. Joining from The Lygon Arms, part of Iconic Luxury Hotels, he oversaw the relaunch of the 15th century Cotswolds gem following a multi-million pound renovation under new owners, L+R Properties.
Jason also counts the likes of Foxhills, Arden Hotel, The Atlantic Hotel and Seaham Hall as his past employers
The 61-bed Hurworth, County Durham resort welcomed Adams just over ten years after its initial opening. The five-red-star resort comprises 61 bedrooms, three restaurants, 12 meeting rooms and an 18-hole championship golf course. In 2018, Rockliffe Hall opened a Lewis Carroll themed whimsical wonderland and in 2019 the business gave its 50,000 sq ft award-winning spa a revamp.
