Originating from Blackburn, Lancashire, Stuart began his career at the age of 16 as an apprentice trainee manager at Northcote Manor in the Ribble Valley.
Fast forward a few decades and he now finds himself as chief operating officer at The Stafford Collection, a portfolio that includes Northcote as well as The Stafford in London.
Stuart’s first taste of London hospitality was when he took the helm of The Stafford in 2006 and during his five-year tenure, the hotel’s annual revenue and profitability grew substantially, and in addition, the hotel collected many international accolades.
After leaving in 2011, he returned four years later as general manager and oversaw multiple refurbishments at The Stafford, including the Carriage House renovations, the 2018 relaunch of The American Bar, the 2019 main house room renovations, and the successful launch of The Game
Stuart was promoted to chief operating officer of The Stafford London and Northcote last year. Under his new title he also launched new restaurant, Norma with the celebrated chef, Ben Tish, at the helm.
