Demand for Tim Hart’s Hambleton Bakery is continuing to rise as the business embarks on an extensive project to double capacity.
Hart, who founded the bakery with head baker Julian Carter over 10 years ago, owns luxury hotel Hambleton Hall in Rutland and Hart’s Hotel in Nottingham, which serve Hambleton Bakery produce to guests at the restaurants daily.
Now Hambleton Bakery will expand in Exton to accommodate a larger shop and a café as well as a visitor centre, with plans to build another site adjacent to the A1 to double production capacity.
Coincidentally, Hambleton Bakery attended the National Bakery Awards at BAFTA in Piccadilly last month, hosted by Bakery Business Magazine and won the award for Best Bakery in Rutland and Best Bakery in the East Midlands.
Hart commented: “The award means a great deal to all of us at Hambleton Bakery. It crowns ten years of effort and ambition to be recognised as the best in our region.”
