Cambridge hotel locks in funding boost to expand restaurant and drive turnover growth

A hotel in Cambridge is bidding to increase turnover by 50% after securing a funding package of almost £800k to drive expansion.

The Pike and Eel Hotel has used the £740k boost from Lloyds Bank to revamp its bedrooms, function suite and gastropub, as well as double the number of covers in its restaurant to grow the business.

Amanda Buttriss, general manager of The Pike and Eel, said: “This is an exciting new chapter for The Pike and Eel. With a brand new terrace area and our newly renovated rooms, restaurant, and function suite, the hotel is looking great.”
