The University Arms Hotel looks set to be a real hotel head turner when it opens its doors on August 1.
The property has now officially revealed its launch date, following more than two years of renovation at a rumoured cost of £80m.
The hotel, which overlooks Parker’s Place, will comprise of 192 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, library, underground valet car park and fitness facilities.
The building’s transformation has been spearheaded by architect John Simpson and the interior designer Martin Brudnizki, who is known for his work at the iconic venues such as Rosewood London, Lime Wood and Soho House in Miami.
The restaurant Parker’s Tavern will be headed up by chef patron Tristan Welch and will focus on local Cambridge cuisine.
University Arms Hotel was bought by real estate investor Melford Capital from the De Vere Group in 2012.
