Carden Park appoints new spa director as work on £10m new spa gains momentum

Carden Park in Cheshire has appointed a new spa director to drive the hotel’s new £10m spa as the project gains momentum.

The country estate in Cheshire broke ground on the development in June 2018 and has now announced that Steve Ewing has joined the team to head up the spa’s operations, which is due to open in late summer 2019.

Ewing has held various roles with Macdonald Hotels, Mercure and Intercontinental Hotels and was previously spa director at Cheshire’s Mottram Hall.

The new spa at Carden Park will comprise a spa garden with a sensory hydrotherapy pool, hot tubs, fire pits and outdoor sauna with private relaxation spaces plus a central champagne bar.

Steve Ewing adds: “I am delighted to join the team at Carden Park as I believe that we are working on something really special here. In terms of design and concept it’s stunning and will be one of the best destination spas in the UK. I am delighted to be involved in the project from this stage and will be working hard over the coming months to bring together a skilled, five star team to deliver a client journey that is like no other for all of our spa guests.”

General manager Hamish Ferguson comments: “We are thrilled to welcome Steve to Team Carden. Steve brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge that will strengthen our new spa offering immensely. As the build progresses we are looking forward to revealing a number of exciting announcements very soon.”
